Corolla Cross overview
The Corolla Cross is the crossover version of the Corolla, and since its April 2024 facelift Toyota Motor Philippines has sold it only as a hybrid. Three trims are listed: 1.8 HEV G at ₱1,514,000, 1.8 HEV V at ₱1,795,000 and the sportier 1.8 HEV GR-S at ₱1,947,000, which got its own refresh in early 2026. Platinum White Pearl Mica adds ₱15,000 on the G and V, and Emotional Red or Attitude Black adds ₱5,000 on the GR-S.
All three share a 1,798 cc hybrid system with a CVT and front-wheel drive. The engine alone is rated at 120 hp and 142 Nm, with the electric motor helping from a standstill and at low speed. The body is 4,460 mm long (4,455 mm for the GR-S) with 180 mm of ground clearance. The 36-liter tank is small for a car this size, so plan fuel stops on long provincial drives even though the hybrid sips in traffic. The higher seat and ground clearance also make it easier to get in and out of than the Corolla Altis sedan.
Start with the G HEV. It costs ₱281,000 less than the V and uses the same drivetrain, so the extra money for the V goes into equipment and trim, not performance. The G is also ₱96,000 cheaper than the smaller Yaris Cross S HEV, which makes it one of the better-value hybrids in Toyota's range. The Yaris Cross does keep an edge in ground clearance, 212 mm against 180 mm. Every Corolla Cross is a full hybrid, so make sure the dealer processes the green plate that comes with the number-coding exemption.
Who it is for: Families who want a roomier hybrid crossover and spend a lot of time in city traffic.
