Raize overview
The Raize is Toyota's smallest crossover and the cheapest way into the raised driving position that so many Filipino buyers want. It is a Daihatsu-developed car, a twin of the Daihatsu Rocky, 4,030 mm long, and it slots between the Wigo and the Yaris Cross. Its closest rivals are the Suzuki Fronx and the Kia Sonet. The range starts with the 1.2 E MT at ₱757,000, followed by the 1.2 E CVT at ₱847,000, 1.2 G CVT at ₱942,000 and 1.0 Turbo CVT at ₱1,069,000. The turbo costs ₱1,074,000 in the two-tone White Pearl and Black finish.
The two engines behave quite differently. The 1.2-liter three-cylinder makes 87 hp and 113 Nm, with peak torque arriving high at 4,500 rpm. The 1.0-liter turbo, also a three-cylinder, makes 96 hp and 140 Nm from 2,400 rpm, so it pulls harder at the low speeds you actually use in town and on mountain roads. Every version is front-wheel drive. Ground clearance is 200 mm, far more than any small sedan, and the 36-liter tank keeps fill-ups cheap.
The 1.2 G CVT is the middle-ground choice, but the turbo deserves a look if you often carry passengers or drive up to Baguio or Tagaytay. It costs ₱127,000 more than the G. Space is the catch: the Raize is a small car, and adults in the back seat will feel it on long trips. If you need more room and can stretch the budget, the Yaris Cross starts at ₱1,210,000 and is 280 mm longer. The upside of the small size is that the Raize parks almost like a hatchback in mall and condo basements.
Who it is for: Young buyers and small families who want crossover styling and ground clearance for about the price of a small sedan.

Toyota Raize FAQ
Which Raize variant is best?
The 1.2 G CVT at ₱942,000 suits most city buyers. If you often drive loaded or uphill, the 1.0 Turbo CVT at ₱1,069,000 has more torque at low engine speeds.
How much ground clearance does the Raize have?
200 mm, according to the spec sheet. That is 67 mm more than a Vios, which helps on unpaved roads and in shallow floods.
Does the Raize come with a manual?
Only the base 1.2 E. It costs ₱757,000, which is ₱90,000 less than the same trim with a CVT.
