CX-30 overview
Mazda Philippines has trimmed the CX-30 to a single version for 2026: the 2.0L HEV at ₱1,995,000. It pairs a 2.0-liter gasoline engine with Mazda's mild-hybrid assist, front-wheel drive and an automatic gearbox. ZigWheels lists 152 hp and 200 Nm, a 51-liter tank and 180 mm of ground clearance, which is 45 mm more than the Mazda3 it shares its underpinnings with.
The price puts it in an awkward spot. It costs nearly as much as the bigger CX-5 2.5L AWD Sport, still on Mazda's list at ₱2,050,000, and well above the BYD Atto 3 Dynamic EV at ₱1,638,000 or a top Geely Coolray at ₱1,179,000. Mazda's pitch is design and cabin quality, plus a size that suits the city. At 4,395 mm long it parks easily, and the extra clearance helps over flooded gutters and steep driveway ramps. Premium paints add ₱16,800 to ₱22,400 on top.
Think of the CX-30 as a stylish five-seater for one or two people, not a family hauler. Rear-seat room and cargo space are tighter than in compact SUVs like the CX-5, and as a mild hybrid it is unlikely to qualify for the number coding exemption. If you like the look and mostly drive in Metro Manila, it fits the brief. If you need space or lower running costs, compare it with a plug-in hybrid such as the BYD Sealion 5 DM-i at ₱1,268,000. There is no cheaper non-hybrid CX-30 to fall back on, so ₱1,995,000 is the entry ticket. Ask for a test drive on a rough or sloped street, since ride comfort over potholes matters more here than any spec.
Who it is for: City drivers who want a premium-feeling small crossover with more ground clearance than a sedan.

Mazda CX-30 FAQ
How much is the Mazda CX-30 in 2026?
₱1,995,000 for the 2.0L HEV, the only variant on Mazda Philippines' September 2026 price list. Machine Gray adds ₱16,800, and Soul Red Crystal or Rhodium White adds ₱22,400.
Is the CX-30 a full hybrid?
No. Mazda's HEV label here refers to a mild-hybrid system that assists the gasoline engine. It cannot run on electric power alone the way a Toyota hybrid or a BYD DM-i plug-in hybrid can.
CX-30 or CX-5?
The CX-30 is smaller and easier to park. The new CX-5 2.5L AWD HEV Premium Plus costs ₱2,495,000 and is a size up. Mazda's list also still shows a 2.5L AWD Sport CX-5 at ₱2,050,000, only ₱55,000 more than the CX-30, so ask whether dealers still have stock.
