About Kia in the Philippines

Kia's current Philippine distributor is KP Motors Corporation, part of the Ayala group. Ayala, through AC Industrials, took over the Kia franchise at the end of 2018 and relaunched the brand on January 30, 2019. Kia cars were sold here for years before that under earlier distributors, which is why older Picantos, Rios and Sportages still turn up in the used market.

The 2026 lineup has two clear halves. At the affordable end are the Soluto sedan, from ₱748,000, and the Sonet subcompact crossover. Above them, Kia now leans on electrified models. The Sportage, Sorento and Carnival come with a 1.6-liter Turbo Hybrid (the Carnival also keeps a diesel), and there are four battery EVs: the EV3, EV5 and EV9 SUVs plus the PV5 Cargo electric van for businesses. The Seltos is missing from the November 2026 price list, while Kia's website teases a new one.

If you're weighing a Kia, look first at the electrified models. The DOE has said full hybrids and battery EVs are exempt from number coding under the EVIDA law, and Kia offers one at most price points from about ₱1.9 million up. For the cheaper gasoline cars, compare the Soluto and Sonet against Toyota and Suzuki on total cost, including insurance, and ask the dealer how far your nearest Kia service center is if you live outside a major city.
