About Isuzu in the Philippines

Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) has assembled and sold Isuzu vehicles here since 1995, from its plant at the Laguna Technopark in Biñan. Most Filipinos know the brand for trucks, and IPC still calls itself the country's top truck brand. For private and small-business buyers the range is short: the D-Max pickup, the mu-X seven-seat SUV and the Traviz light truck. IPC also sells heavy trucks and buses, which this catalog leaves out.

Two diesel engines power the passenger range. The 1.9-liter RZ4E makes 150 PS and 350 Nm and goes into the cheaper 4x2 versions. The 3.0-liter 4JJ3-TCX makes 190 PS and 450 Nm and is used in every 4x4 plus the LS-A and LS-E trims. The Traviz runs an older 2.5-liter 4JA1 with a five-speed manual, which is fine for a delivery truck that rarely needs to hurry. All three are sold and serviced through the same Isuzu dealer network, which also handles the trucks.

Our prices come from the official IPC price list as of November 2026. The D-Max starts at ₱988,000 for a bare cab and chassis and reaches ₱2,394,000, while the mu-X runs from ₱1,725,000 to ₱2,670,000. Provincial dealers charge shipping and handling on top of these SRPs. Ask for the full on-the-road figure, with LTO registration and insurance, before you sign a chattel mortgage.

Isuzu Philippines FAQ

Are Isuzu prices higher outside Metro Manila?

They can be. Isuzu Philippines notes that its SRPs exclude shipping and handling at provincial dealerships. Ask for an itemized quote that shows freight, LTO registration, insurance and any accessories, because those add up quickly on a pickup or SUV.

What warranty does Isuzu give on the D-Max and mu-X?

Isuzu Philippines lists 36 months or 100,000 km, whichever comes first, for both. Keep the preventive maintenance records from an Isuzu dealer, since warranty claims go more smoothly when the service booklet is complete.

Should I get the 1.9 or the 3.0 diesel?

For city driving, light cargo and a lower price, the 1.9 RZ4E (150 PS, 350 Nm) is enough on paper. Pick the 3.0 if you tow, haul full loads often, drive steep provincial roads or want 4x4, which Isuzu only pairs with the 3.0. The bigger engine also comes with the better-equipped LS-A and LS-E trims.
