Fronx overview

The Fronx is Suzuki's small crossover, launched in the Philippines in September 2025. Three trims are listed: the GL AT at ₱1,059,000, the GLX AT Hybrid at ₱1,219,000 (₱1,229,000 in two-tone) and the SGX AT Hybrid Two Tone at ₱1,299,000. Visayas and Mindanao prices are ₱50,000 higher. The roofline slopes down at the back like a coupe, and at 3,995 mm the Fronx is a little shorter than a Toyota Raize.

All versions use a 1,462 cc four-cylinder. The GL has 103 hp and 138 Nm with a four-speed automatic. The GLX and SGX add a 12-volt mild-hybrid system and a six-speed automatic, with outputs listed at 99 hp and 135 Nm. Ground clearance is 170 mm, the fuel tank holds 37 liters, and every version is front-wheel drive. The mild-hybrid hardware supports the engine and handles stop-start; it does not drive the car on its own.

The GL makes the strongest value case. It costs ₱160,000 less than the GLX Hybrid and has slightly more power on paper, though its four-speed automatic is older technology and you lose the stop-start. The GLX Hybrid's six-speed gearbox suits mixed city and highway driving better. Compare it with the Toyota Raize 1.0 Turbo (₱1,069,000) and the Yaris Cross 1.5 G (₱1,210,000): the Fronx sits between them on price, while both Toyotas have more ground clearance at 200 mm and 212 mm. If your street floods often, that difference matters more than styling. If it does not, the Fronx's larger four-cylinder engine is a fair trade.

Who it is for: Young professionals and couples who want a stylish small crossover with an automatic for under ₱1.3 million.
