Venue overview
The Venue is the cheapest Hyundai on sale in the Philippines and one of the few crossovers under ₱1 million. HMPH's October 2026 price list has three trims: 1.6 GL 6MT at ₱798,000, 1.6 GL 6AT at ₱910,000 and 1.6 GLS 6AT at ₱998,000. All use a 1.6-liter four-cylinder that Zigwheels Philippines rates at 121 hp and 151 Nm.
Two things set it apart from many rivals at this price. The engine is a 1.6 rather than a 1.0 to 1.2-liter unit, and the automatic is a conventional six-speed instead of a CVT, which some buyers prefer for its more direct feel. The body is only 4,040 mm long, so it parks like a hatchback, and Zigwheels lists 170 mm of ground clearance. That isn't SUV territory, but it gives a little more breathing room than a sedan over potholes and the shallow floods that follow afternoon thunderstorms.
Think of the Venue as a raised hatchback with crossover styling. Four adults fit, but the rear seat and cargo area are compact, and it's a city car at heart, not something for muddy farm roads. The GL 6AT is the trim most buyers will want for Metro Manila traffic. The GL 6MT saves ₱112,000 and suits buyers in the provinces who drive mostly on open roads. Shop it against the Toyota Raize, Kia Sonet and Suzuki Fronx, and compare each dealer's all-in package, including any promo discounts. Ask for the full spec sheet of the trim you want, because airbag count and driver aids are not on HMPH's price list.
Who it is for: First-time buyers who want crossover looks and a real automatic for under ₱1 million, mostly for city driving.
