Civic overview
The Civic comes in three trims in the Philippines. The V Turbo CVT costs ₱1,640,000 and the RS Turbo CVT ₱1,830,000. Both use a 1.5-liter turbo with 178 PS (about 176 hp) and 240 Nm. The RS e:HEV at ₱2,080,000 pairs a 2.0-liter engine with two electric motors, and the drive motor makes 184 PS and 315 Nm. Honda reports 30.12 km/L for the hybrid in the DOE's 2025 Eco-Run.
In October 2026 Honda added S+ Shift to the hybrid, the feature first used on the Prelude. In Sport mode the paddles trigger simulated upshifts and rev-matched downshifts, and Active Sound Control pipes in engine noise. It's a gimmick in the best sense, and it makes the hybrid feel less like an appliance. All three trims have Honda SENSING, LaneWatch, a multi-view rear camera and a 493-liter trunk. The two RS trims add leather-and-suede seats, a 12-speaker Bose system and a wireless charger. The V has fabric seats and eight speakers.
Which one makes sense? The V Turbo is the value pick. You get the same engine as the RS Turbo and the same driver aids for ₱190,000 less. The hybrid costs ₱440,000 more than the V, and fuel savings alone will take years to cover that gap at current pump prices. Its other perk is practical, though: the DOE has said full hybrids are exempt from number coding under the EVIDA law, which can matter if you drive into Metro Manila every weekday. Whatever you choose, the 134 mm ground clearance and long front overhang call for care on steep ramps and flooded streets.
Who it is for: Drivers who want a roomy, quick sedan with strong driver aids, and commuters who'd pay extra for a hybrid that's exempt from number coding.
