Hiace overview

The Hiace range stretches from bare cargo vans to chauffeur-driven shuttles. Toyota's 2026 list has two families. The 3.0-liter Cargo MT (₱1,249,000) and Commuter MT (₱1,534,000) use an older, shorter body, 4,695 mm long. The 2.8-liter H300 models are bigger: Deluxe Cargo (₱1,686,000), Commuter Deluxe MT (₱1,952,000), GL Grandia MT (₱2,402,000) and AT (₱2,481,000), GL Grandia Tourer AT (₱2,649,000), and the Super Grandia AT Leather (₱3,080,000) and Super Grandia Elite AT (₱3,464,000).

The 2.8 diesel makes 174 hp, with 420 Nm in the manual Commuter Deluxe and 450 Nm in the automatic GL Grandia, driving the rear wheels. The older 3.0 diesel has 134 hp and 300 Nm with a five-speed manual. The GL Grandia is 5,265 mm long (5,300 mm for the Super Grandia), nearly two meters tall, with 175 mm of ground clearance and a 70-liter tank. Seating runs from 15 in the Commuter versions to 12 in the GL Grandia and 10 in the Super Grandia Elite.

Choose by job. If you need the most seats, both Commuter versions carry 15, and the 2.8 Commuter Deluxe has the newer, roomier body. Families and companies usually look at the GL Grandia, where the AT costs ₱79,000 more than the MT and is far easier to drive in Metro Manila traffic. The Super Grandia is a premium shuttle priced like a luxury vehicle. Whatever you choose, check your garage first: a 5.3-meter van that stands almost two meters tall will not fit every carport. For school-service or shuttle use, check the LTFRB and LTO rules for the seat count you plan to register.

Who it is for: Transport operators, large families, churches and companies that need to move 10 to 15 people or bulky cargo.
