CX-90 overview

The CX-90 is the largest and most expensive Mazda sold in the Philippines. The September 2026 list has two versions: the 3.3L AWD HEV Turbo 8-seater at ₱3,830,000 and the 3.3L AWD HEV Turbo Exclusive 6-seater at ₱3,930,000. Both are ₱50,000 higher than in February. Power comes from a 3.3-liter turbocharged inline-six with 48-volt mild-hybrid assist, an eight-speed automatic and rear-biased all-wheel drive, rated at 280 PS and 450 Nm according to ZigWheels.

Size is the headline. At 5,120 mm long and 1,994 mm wide, it is a big vehicle for Metro Manila streets and older condo ramps, so check your parking slot before you sign. Ground clearance is 203 mm and the tank holds 74 liters. The 8-seater has a second-row bench, while the Exclusive swaps it for two captain's chairs and offers White Nappa leather with maple wood trim for ₱50,000 more. Both layouts keep a third row, so the choice is about comfort, not capacity alone.

Who buys a ₱3.8 million Mazda? The likely buyer is a family moving up from a CX-8 or a truck-based SUV who wants a quieter, more upscale cabin and a six-cylinder engine. The competition includes large SUVs and premium MPVs. The BYD eMAX 9 DM-i plug-in hybrid MPV, at ₱2,778,000 to ₱3,098,000, seats seven and can run on electricity for daily trips, for less money. The CX-90 answers with AWD and a traditional SUV shape. Running costs deserve a look too: a turbo six crawling through Metro Manila traffic will burn more fuel than a plug-in hybrid charged at home overnight.

Who it is for: Large families who want a three-row SUV with AWD and a six-cylinder engine, and who have parking space for a 5.1-meter vehicle.

Mazda CX-90 FAQ

How much is the Mazda CX-90 in the Philippines?

₱3,830,000 for the 8-seater and ₱3,930,000 for the 6-seater Exclusive, per Mazda Philippines' September 2026 price list. Artisan Red Premium or Rhodium White paint adds ₱22,400, and White Nappa leather on the Exclusive adds ₱50,000.

How many seats does the CX-90 have?

Eight with a second-row bench, or six with two second-row captain's chairs in the Exclusive. Both have a third row.

Is the CX-90 too big for Metro Manila?

It depends on where you park. At 5,120 mm long and 1,994 mm wide, it is longer than most midsize SUVs, so measure your home and office slots first. On the road, the size matters most in narrow side streets and tight mall ramps.
