EV3 overview
The EV3 is Kia's smallest electric SUV and its most affordable EV in the Philippines. Kia Philippines sells one version at ₱1,898,000 (November 2026). Kia's brochure lists a 58.3 kWh battery, 204 PS (about 201 hp) and 283 Nm, and a range of 511 km on the NEDC cycle. NEDC figures are generous, so expect less in real driving, especially at expressway speeds with the air-con on high.
Charging times from the brochure are about 5 hours 20 minutes from 10 to 80 percent on an 11 kW AC wallbox, and 29 minutes on a 350 kW DC fast charger, though Kia's website quotes about 31 minutes on compatible chargers. The body is 4,300 mm long with 140 mm of ground clearance, so it's city-sized, but the low clearance calls for caution on flooded streets. Inside, Kia lists a 30-inch panoramic display that combines a 12.3-inch cluster, a 5.3-inch climate panel and a 12.3-inch touchscreen, two wireless charging pads, a sliding center console table, 460 liters of luggage space and a 25-liter front trunk. Standard driver aids include smart cruise control, blind-spot and forward collision avoidance, and lane keeping and lane following assist.
At under ₱1.9 million, the EV3 lands among the many Chinese EVs now on sale, such as the BYD Atto 3 and Dolphin. Its pitch is a well-equipped cabin, a long list of driver aids and the backing of an established brand with a dealer network. It's also exempt from number coding under the EVIDA law, so it can go out every weekday. Before buying, make sure you can charge at home or at work, and check where the nearest DC chargers are on the routes you drive most.
Who it is for: City commuters who can charge at home and want a compact, well-equipped EV for under ₱2 million.
