EV9 overview
The EV9 is Kia's flagship and its most expensive model in the Philippines. Kia Philippines sells one version, the GT-Line, at ₱5,988,000 (November 2026). Kia's brochure lists dual motors with 384 PS (about 379 hp) and 700 Nm, all-wheel drive, a 99.8 kWh battery and a combined all-electric range of 505 km. It's a big vehicle at 5,015 mm long on a 3,100 mm wheelbase, with 177 mm of ground clearance.
Inside are six seats in three rows. The brochure lists relaxation seats up front with ventilation and memory, a third row that folds 50:50 with power, tri-zone automatic climate control and a 14-speaker Meridian sound system. Charging from 10 to 80 percent takes about 24 minutes on a 350 kW DC charger or 83 minutes on a 50 kW unit, according to Kia, and the brochure lists about 9 hours 45 minutes on an 11 kW AC wallbox. Kia's June 2026 price list notes that the wall charger installation fee is not included, so budget for that separately.
At ₱5,988,000 the EV9 is a luxury purchase. Its closest relative is the Hyundai Ioniq 9 at ₱4,580,000, a similar three-row electric SUV with a larger listed battery that costs ₱1,408,000 less. The EV9's case is its six-seat layout, the GT-Line equipment and Kia's styling. There's no coding day to plan around, and running costs per kilometer are low if you charge at home. Check that your parking can fit a five-meter vehicle and that your electrical supply can take a home charger before you order.
Who it is for: Well-off families who want a spacious six-seat electric SUV with AWD and are ready to install home charging.
