Okavango overview

The Okavango is Geely's seven-seater, and since mid-2025 it has been sold in the Philippines as a single Okavango Elite variant. The earlier Comfort, Urban and Urban Plus versions are no longer offered. ZigWheels lists it at ₱1,368,000 in November 2026. It uses a 1.5-liter turbo gasoline engine with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and front-wheel drive. Geely quotes a combined 140 kW (188 hp) and 300 Nm, and fuel use of 6.6 liters per 100 km.

For the money, you get a lot of vehicle: 4,835 mm long, 194 mm of ground clearance, a 52-liter tank and seven seats in three rows. Geely lists a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a digital instrument panel. That size and price put it up against seven-seat MPVs such as the Mitsubishi Xpander and Toyota Innova, while giving you an SUV shape and more ground clearance than a typical MPV. The 6.6 L/100 km claim is a combined figure; heavy city traffic will push real consumption higher.

There are two caveats, both from a Carguide.ph report dated March 16, 2026. The DOE removed the Okavango's hybrid designation because it cannot run on electric power alone, so new units should not be expected to get a number coding exemption. The same report says ASEAN NCAP withdrew the Okavango's five-star safety rating. Ask the dealer about both before you sign, and test the dual-clutch gearbox in heavy traffic with a full load of passengers. If those points don't worry you, the Okavango still gives a lot of space and power for the price, and Geely has discounted it before, so negotiate.

Who it is for: Families who want seven seats and an SUV shape for under ₱1.4 million and can accept a dual-clutch gearbox.

Geely Okavango FAQ

How much is the Geely Okavango in 2026?

₱1,368,000 for the Okavango Elite, the only variant, per ZigWheels Philippines in November 2026. Geely ran a ₱100,000 discount on it in late 2025, so ask what promo is running now.

Is the Geely Okavango a hybrid?

It has a 48-volt mild-hybrid system that assists the 1.5-liter turbo engine, but it cannot drive on electricity alone. Carguide.ph reported in March 2026 that the DOE removed its hybrid designation for that reason, so don't count on hybrid perks such as a number coding exemption.

How many seats does the Okavango have?

Seven, in three rows. The body is 4,835 mm long, so check the third row with the people who will actually ride there, especially on long provincial trips.
