EX2 overview

The EX2 is Geely's small electric hatchback, launched in the Philippines in June 2026. There are two variants, the Pro at ₱938,000 and the Max at ₱1,038,000, per AutoDeal's launch report and ZigWheels' November 2026 listing. That makes it one of the cheapest new EVs in the country, and it goes straight up against the BYD Seagull at ₱968,000 and the BYD Dolphin at ₱1,438,000. Both variants seat five, per ZigWheels.

Both versions share the same powertrain: an 85 kW (113 hp) motor with 150 Nm and a 39.4 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery. Geely claims up to 325 km on the WLTP cycle. AutoDeal reports AC charging from 10 to 100 percent in roughly 6.5 hours, so an overnight charge at home refills the battery. Geely Philippines lists a top speed of 130 km/h, which is enough for expressway driving but leaves little in reserve for overtaking.

At 4,135 mm long, the EX2 is much bigger than the Seagull and about the same length as the Dolphin, and ZigWheels lists 175 mm of ground clearance, a useful figure on flooded streets. The ₱100,000 step to the Max buys equipment, not more power or range. As an EV it qualifies for EVIDA benefits such as the number coding exemption, which matters a lot for Metro Manila commuters who would otherwise lose a weekday of driving. The Pro also costs about the same as a gasoline Geely Emgrand at ₱949,000, and if you charge at home, the cost per kilometer should be well below a gasoline car's, depending on your Meralco rate.

Who it is for: City commuters who want a new EV under ₱1 million and can charge at home overnight.

Geely EX2 FAQ

How much is the Geely EX2 in the Philippines?

₱938,000 for the Pro and ₱1,038,000 for the Max, per AutoDeal and ZigWheels Philippines. Ask the dealer what launch promo or discount is running when you buy.

How long does the EX2 take to charge?

AutoDeal reports about 6.5 hours to charge from 10 to 100 percent on AC power, which fits an overnight charge at home. Ask the dealer about DC fast-charging speed if you plan long trips.

EX2 or BYD Seagull?

The EX2 Pro is ₱30,000 cheaper than the Seagull's ₱968,000 and has a bigger 39.4 kWh battery against the Seagull's 30 kWh. The Seagull is shorter at 3,780 mm, which helps in tight parking. Compare range claims carefully, since BYD quotes the Seagull on the NEDC cycle and Geely quotes the EX2 on WLTP.
