EX5 overview

The EX5 was Geely's first electric car for the Philippines, launched in mid-2025 alongside the Okavango Elite. ZigWheels lists one variant in November 2026, the EX5 Max at ₱1,799,000, which makes it the most expensive Geely on sale here. Geely's local website now titles the model the Geely E5, so you may hear both names at dealers. Either way, it is a five-seat SUV, not a small city EV.

It uses a single front motor rated at 160 kW (215 hp) and 320 Nm and a 60.22 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery. ZigWheels lists a WLTP range of 425 km for the Max, while Geely's E5 page shows 475 km; ask the dealer which version and test that higher figure refers to. The body is 4,615 mm long with 173 mm of ground clearance and a 461-liter trunk, so a family's weekend luggage should fit without trouble. Quoted 0 to 100 km/h times range from 6.9 to 7.1 seconds, depending on the source.

As an EV, the EX5 gets the EVIDA law's perks, including exemption from number coding, which is a real advantage for anyone who drives into Metro Manila every weekday. Home charging is the cheapest way to run it, so check that your house or condo can take a wall charger before you buy. The closest rivals are the BYD Atto 3 Premium at ₱1,848,000 and Geely's own EX5 EM-i plug-in hybrid at ₱1,288,000 to ₱1,468,000, which suits buyers who drive long provincial routes where chargers are scarce. Ask about the battery warranty in writing, too, along with any current promo.

Who it is for: Buyers ready to go fully electric who can charge at home and want a roomy five-seat SUV under ₱1.8 million.

Geely EX5 FAQ

How much is the Geely EX5 in the Philippines?

₱1,799,000 for the EX5 Max, per ZigWheels Philippines in November 2026. Geely's website does not list prices, so confirm with a dealer.

What is the range of the Geely EX5?

ZigWheels lists 425 km (WLTP) for the Max with its 60.22 kWh battery, while Geely Philippines' E5 page shows 475 km. Real-world range in Metro Manila heat with the aircon running will be lower than either figure.

No. The EX5 is fully electric. The EX5 EM-i is a plug-in hybrid with a 1.5-liter engine and an 18.4 kWh battery, sold from ₱1,288,000. Pick the EV if you can charge at home and mostly stay near the city; pick the EM-i for long trips without planning charging stops.
