Atto 2 overview

The Atto 2 is BYD's small electric crossover, and the Philippine range has one EV version at ₱1,338,000. It shares its name and body with the Atto 2 DM-i plug-in hybrid, which costs less, so the first thing to settle is which powertrain suits you. The EV has a 177 PS (175 hp), 290 Nm front motor and a 45.1 kWh Blade Battery, with 380 km of quoted range and 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds. Curb weight is 1,550 kg, and BYD lists five seats.

The body is 4,310 mm long with 150 mm of ground clearance and a 5.3-meter turning radius, so it is easy to place in traffic and a little better than a hatchback over flooded gutters. BYD lists up to 1,335 liters of cargo space with the rear seats folded. Wheels are 16-inch with 215/65 tires, a sensible size for rough roads and cheaper replacements than the big rims on BYD's larger models.

On price it sits ₱100,000 below the Dolphin and ₱300,000 below the Atto 3 Dynamic while offering more power than the Dolphin, which makes it one of the better-value EVs in BYD's lineup on paper. The catch is its plug-in hybrid twin: the Atto 2 DM-i Dynamic costs ₱1,048,000, or ₱290,000 less, and can switch to gasoline on long trips. Pick the EV if you can charge at home and want the lowest running costs and no engine maintenance. As an EV it is also exempt from number coding. Ask the dealer whether a wall charger is part of the deal, and get an installation quote if it isn't.

Who it is for: Urban buyers who want a small, higher-riding EV with lively performance and can charge at home.

BYD Atto 2 FAQ

How much is the BYD Atto 2 EV in the Philippines?

₱1,338,000, per the BYD Cars Philippines price list (SRP valid as of July 28, 2026). The plug-in hybrid Atto 2 DM-i is listed separately from ₱1,048,000.

Atto 2 EV or Atto 2 DM-i?

The DM-i costs ₱1,048,000 to ₱1,258,000 and adds a gasoline engine, with 45 km of electric range and 1,045 km combined, so it handles long trips without charging stops. The EV costs ₱1,338,000, has 380 km of quoted range and no engine to service. If you rarely leave Metro Manila and can charge at home, the EV is simpler; otherwise the DM-i is the safer bet.

What is the Atto 2 EV range?

BYD Cars Philippines lists 380 km from the 45.1 kWh battery but does not state the test cycle. Real range depends on speed, load and aircon use.
