Terra overview

The Terra is Nissan's body-on-frame seven-seater, related to the Navara pickup and facelifted in 2021. Nissan's October 2026 price guide lists seven automatic variants: VE 4x2 at ₱1,969,000, VL 4x2 at ₱2,119,000, VL 4x4 at ₱2,409,000, Sport 4x2 at ₱2,179,000, Sport 4x4 at ₱2,469,000, Sport VL 4x2 at ₱2,209,000 and Sport VL 4x4 at ₱2,499,000. Premium paint adds ₱20,000.

Every Terra uses a 2.5-liter turbodiesel with a seven-speed automatic. Zigwheels lists 187 hp and 450 Nm. The 4x4 versions add about ₱290,000 over the matching 4x2. The SUV is 4,900 mm long with 225 mm of ground clearance and a 78-liter tank, so it can cover long provincial trips on one fill. Nissan backs it with a 5-year or 150,000 km warranty. In 4x2 form the Sport costs ₱60,000 more than the VL and the Sport VL ₱90,000 more, so check the spec sheet to see whether the extra money buys equipment you actually want.

Against its rivals, the Terra's ₱1,969,000 entry price is ₱20,000 above the new Ford Everest Active and ₱42,000 above the Mitsubishi Montero Sport GLS automatic, while its priciest 4x4 still costs less than either Everest 4x4. Its strengths are a strong diesel, a long warranty and the choice of 4x4 on three trims instead of only the most expensive one. Its weak points are an older platform and a seven-speed automatic where Ford uses ten speeds. For most families who stay on paved and gravel roads, the VL 4x2 is enough. If you live where typhoon floods and muddy roads are common, the VL 4x4 is the cheapest Terra with four-wheel drive. Shortlist it with the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Everest, Mitsubishi Montero Sport and Isuzu mu-X.

Who it is for: Families who want a seven-seat diesel SUV with an available 4x4, a long warranty and a wide choice of trims.
