Outlander PHEV overview
The Outlander returned to the Philippines in August 2026 as a plug-in hybrid only, and it is now the most expensive Mitsubishi on sale here. There is one version, the GT 2.4G AWD, listed at ₱2,848,000 on MMPC's price list. Top Gear Philippines reported an introductory price of ₱2,749,000 that ran until September 30, 2026, so the regular figure applies now.
The powertrain pairs a 2.4-liter MIVEC gasoline engine with two electric motors and a 22.7 kWh battery. MMPC quotes a combined 306 PS and 450 Nm (Top Gear lists 302 hp). Mitsubishi claims about 100 km of pure electric driving and close to 1,000 km of total range. For a Metro Manila commuter who can charge at home, that means many weekdays could be done on electricity alone, with the engine on standby for out-of-town trips. The car is 4,720 mm long with 199 mm of ground clearance. Inside, Top Gear lists a 12.3-inch screen, an eight-speaker Yamaha system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus two 240V outlets that can be used for small appliances during a brownout or a camping trip.
Two things to weigh before signing. First, it is a five-seater in the Philippine spec, so families who need a third row should look at the Destinator or a diesel SUV instead. Second, the savings depend on charging. Without a home or office outlet, a PHEV is a heavy hybrid carrying a battery it rarely uses. Ask the dealer about the charger, the installation cost and the battery warranty in writing. Its closest rivals are the Nissan X-Trail e-POWER, which needs no plug, and the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V.
Who it is for: Buyers with home or office charging who want an all-wheel-drive crossover that can do most daily driving on electricity.
