L300 overview

The L300 is a working vehicle first and last. On MMPC's August 2026 price list it appears in one form only, the L300 C/C 2.2D M/T at ₱829,000. C/C means cab and chassis, so the rear body is fitted separately, whether that's a dropside, an aluminum van box or a body for a refrigerated delivery run. Budget for that body and its LTO paperwork on top of the SRP and the freight charge.

Power comes from a 2.2-liter 4N14 turbodiesel that meets Euro 4 rules. Philkotse lists 98 hp and 200 Nm, sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual. MMPC says the engine has about 40 percent more torque than the old L300 unit, and it fits a 55-liter fuel tank so long delivery routes need fewer stops. Ground clearance is 195 mm per Philkotse. Front suspension is a wishbone type with leaf springs at the back, front disc and rear drum brakes, and a hand-operated parking brake. The cabin is simple: plastic surfaces, fabric seats, manual air-con and an analog gauge cluster.

Nobody buys an L300 for comfort. People buy it because it is cheap to run and easy to fix, and mechanics across the country know it well. The cab-forward layout keeps it short and easy to maneuver around public markets and narrow streets. If you need factory-built passenger seating instead, look at the Versa Van. Another light commercial option to compare is the Isuzu Traviz. For fleet buyers, ask about volume discounts and the service interval schedule before ordering several units.

Who it is for: Small businesses and fleet operators who need a low-cost diesel chassis to build a delivery, cargo or utility body on.
