Mirage G4 overview
The Mirage G4 is the sedan version of the Mirage, and in the Philippines it gets more attention from MMPC than the hatch, with more trims and a newer face. MMPC's August 2026 list has three versions: GLX 1.2G M/T at ₱793,000, GLX 1.2G CVT at ₱841,000 and GLS 1.2G CVT at ₱937,000. All three use the 1,193 cc three-cylinder engine, which MMPC rates at 78 PS and 100 Nm, driving the front wheels.
The G4 is 4,305 mm long and has a proper trunk, which matters if you load balikbayan boxes or luggage for a trip to the province. Philkotse lists 450 liters of cargo space and 170 mm of ground clearance. MMPC's spec sheet gives a 42-liter fuel tank, so you can go a long way between fill-ups on a light car like this. Over the GLX, the GLS gets nicer trim such as a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Mitsubishi has refreshed the car several times since 2021, so ask the dealer for the current spec sheet before comparing feature by feature.
The compromise is power and refinement. Seventy-eight PS is modest for a sedan this size, so passing a slow truck on a two-lane provincial highway takes patience, and owners often mention engine noise at higher speeds. Next to the Toyota Vios, Honda City and Nissan Almera, the G4 usually wins on price and loses on performance and cabin feel. For most buyers who want an automatic on a tight budget, the GLX CVT is the sensible pick. The GLS costs ₱96,000 more for trim and equipment upgrades, with no change under the hood.
Who it is for: Budget-minded buyers who need a sedan with a real trunk, including small fleets, for mostly city and highway use.
