Prelude overview
The Prelude name came back for 2026 as a two-door hybrid coupe, and Honda Cars Philippines prices it at ₱3,498,000. Top Gear Philippines reported the figure in late February 2026, and Zigwheels lists the same SRP in November. There is one version. It uses the 2.0-liter e:HEV system from the Civic hybrid: Top Gear PH lists 139 hp and 182 Nm for the engine and 181 hp and 315 Nm for the electric motor that drives the wheels.
Its party trick is S+ Shift. In Sport mode the paddle shifters fake gear changes with rev-matched downshifts, and Active Sound Control plays engine sound in the cabin. Honda has since added the feature to the Civic RS e:HEV. The Prelude seats four, rides 115 mm off the ground according to Zigwheels, and measures 4,522 mm long. Top Gear PH says it comes in five colors, with Moonlit White Pearl at extra cost, and that a ₱100,000 reservation was required at launch.
The price is the sticking point. The Civic RS e:HEV, with the same hybrid hardware and S+ Shift, four doors and a big trunk, costs ₱2,080,000. That's ₱1,418,000 less. So the Prelude is a purchase you make with your heart: for the shape, the badge and the history of a nameplate many Filipino Honda fans grew up with. The low nose and 115 mm clearance mean you'll need to watch for steep mall ramps, speed humps and flooded streets. On the plus side, as a full hybrid it should qualify for the number coding exemption that the DOE has confirmed for hybrids under the EVIDA law.
Who it is for: Honda enthusiasts who want a stylish, efficient two-door and accept paying far more than the mechanically similar Civic hybrid.
