Ranger overview
Ford refreshed the Ranger for the 2027 model year in September 2026. The headline is a 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel for the returning Wildtrak and Wildtrak-X. Top Gear Philippines lists six regular Ranger variants: XLS 2.0L Turbo 4x2 at ₱1,379,000, XLT 4x2 at ₱1,694,000, Sport 4x2 at ₱1,820,000, Sport 4x4 at ₱1,964,000, Wildtrak 3.0L V6 4x4 at ₱2,469,000 and Wildtrak-X V6 4x4 at ₱2,609,000. The XLS through Sport use a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel with 168 hp and 405 Nm. The Wildtrak and Wildtrak-X get the V6 with 247 hp and 600 Nm, a 10-speed automatic, full-time 4x4, an electronic locking rear differential and Normal, Eco, Tow/Haul, Slippery, Mud/Ruts and Sand drive modes. Four-wheel drive starts with the Sport 4x4. From XLS to Wildtrak the truck is 5,370 mm long and 1,918 mm wide with 235 mm of ground clearance. The Wildtrak-X sits higher at 242 mm on Bilstein shocks and 265/70 R17 all-terrain tires. Ford gives the bed as 1,584 mm wide, 1,564 mm long and 540 mm deep.
Even the XLS gets wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and six airbags, per Top Gear. The XLT and Sport add a rear camera, and the V6 trims move up to a 360-degree camera, a knee airbag and Ford's driver-assist suite with adaptive cruise and blind-spot assist. For business use, the XLS is the value pick. For a family pickup that also goes to the beach, the Sport 4x4 at ₱1,964,000 brings 4x4 for ₱505,000 less than the cheapest V6. The Wildtrak-X is for buyers who want an off-road setup from the factory. Check whether any promo applies: Ford offered ₱20,000 off V6 Rangers during September 2026's Truck Month.
