D-Max overview
The D-Max is Isuzu's best-known nameplate in the Philippines, and the 2026 list has ten versions. At the bottom sits the RZ4E 4x2 cab and chassis at ₱988,000, a bare truck meant for a custom body. At the top is the 3.0 4x4 LS-E AT at ₱2,394,000. Isuzu Philippines splits the range into workhorse and lifestyle variants, and that split is a good way to shop: decide first whether the truck is mainly a business tool or the family vehicle.
Lifestyle trims get most of the recent updates. Isuzu lists a three-slot grille, 18-inch dark gray wheels, a 10.1-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 360-degree camera with an underbody view and a built-in video recorder. The LS-E adds a driver-assist package that uses a stereo camera and rear radars. 4x4 versions get a differential lock and a rough-terrain traction mode. Rear passengers get their own air-conditioning vents in a new rear console. Isuzu advertises seven airbags, though you should confirm the count on the cheaper work trims.
The newest addition is the RZ4E 4x2 LS AT, launched in October 2026. It pairs the 1.9 diesel with a six-speed automatic, 17-inch alloys, a reverse camera and stability control. The SRP is ₱1,699,000, with an introductory price of ₱1,549,000 until December 31, 2026. If you mostly sit in traffic and only sometimes load the bed, that variant makes more sense on paper than a 3.0 LS-A. Need 4x4? Plan on at least ₱1,462,000 for the single cab or ₱1,607,000 for the 3.0 4x4 LT MT, because every 4x4 D-Max uses the 3.0 engine.
Who it is for: Business owners who need a durable diesel workhorse, and families who want a pickup that can also be the weekend vehicle.

Pros and cons
What we like on paper
- Wide price spread, from a ₱988,000 cab and chassis to the fully loaded LS-E
- The 3.0 4JJ3 diesel makes 450 Nm, and every 4x4 gets it
- 3-year or 100,000 km warranty and a large Isuzu dealer network
- New LS 4x2 AT brings an automatic 1.9 at ₱1,699,000 (₱1,549,000 intro price until end-2026)
What to consider
- No 4x4 option with the cheaper 1.9 engine
- At close to 5.3 meters, the bigger versions are a squeeze in Metro Manila mall and condo parking
- Provincial buyers pay shipping and handling on top of the SRP

Isuzu D-Max FAQ
How much is the cheapest D-Max in the Philippines?
The RZ4E 4x2 cab and chassis MT at ₱988,000, per the Isuzu Philippines price list for November 2026. It comes without a cargo body, so add the cost of a dropside or van body from a body builder. The next step up is the RZ4E 4x2 LT MT at ₱1,197,000.
Is the D-Max 4x4 worth the extra cost?
Only if you will use it. The cheapest 4x4 is the 3.0 single cab MT at ₱1,462,000, and the 4x4 LS-E AT costs ₱300,000 more than the 4x2 LS-E AT. If you mostly drive on paved roads and the odd flooded street, a 4x2 LS-A or LS-E with 240 mm of ground clearance may be enough. Muddy farm roads, river crossings and steep unpaved climbs are where 4x4 pays off.
How big is the D-Max fuel tank?
76 liters, according to the ZigWheels Philippines spec listing. That is plenty for long provincial trips, but real range depends on the engine, the load and how much time you spend in traffic.
