Jimny overview
The three-door Jimny is a small, genuine off-roader with four-wheel drive and a low range, and it is one of the few new vehicles in the Philippines bought as much for fun as for transport. For 2026 Suzuki made Suzuki Safety Support standard, bringing autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control and lane departure prevention, plus side and curtain airbags and front parking sensors. Prices went up by ₱35,000 to ₱1,293,000 for the GL MT, ₱1,355,000 for the GLX AT and ₱1,365,000 for the GLX AT Two-Tone.
The engine is a 1,462 cc four-cylinder with 101 hp and 130 Nm, paired with a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic and four-wheel drive with high and low ranges. The Jimny is just 3,480 mm long on a 2,250 mm wheelbase, with 210 mm of ground clearance and a 40-liter tank, and it seats four. Those dimensions are why it fits trails and beach access roads that bigger SUVs cannot. The manual GL is the purist's choice and the cheapest way in.
Be honest about how you will use it. The short wheelbase makes the Jimny agile off-road, and owners often mention that it feels less settled at expressway speeds. The rear seat and cargo area are small. AutoDeal still lists a Rhino Edition at ₱1,331,000, below the updated GLX AT, so ask the dealer whether that unit is older stock without the 2026 safety features before you take the discount. Visayas and Mindanao SRPs are ₱70,000 higher. If you need rear doors and more space, the Jimny 5-Door starts at ₱1,698,000.
Who it is for: Weekend off-roaders and enthusiasts who want a compact 4x4 for trails and beach runs and can live with four seats and little cargo room.
